Time's almost up..!

I'm looking at the calendar. And I only have 2 and a half weeks left in Malaysia. Aaah why do I always not look forward to going back to the US? Maybe it's because I'm too comfortable at home. My parents would say it's because I don't have to do things on my own, and because I don't have the stress of studying or the stress of life when I'm home. Who knows.
I had a conversation with a Speech Therapist that I am currently interning with. When I asked her whether she preferred working in the US or back in Malaysia, she said, "The US. Because once you have worked there for a few years, you would find it difficult to adjust to the working environment back in Malaysia. However, I do like my job now because I am my own boss and I do not have to answer to another person of higher position".
I don't even want to think about my future and my plans. I am still at a loss. And until I reach that point in my life, maybe I should just not think about it and go with the flow and decide when the time comes.

Ah, speaking of 'going with the flow'... Laila, Dayana and I decided to go jogging (or rather I was forced to go jogging with them) last Saturday in Taman Aman. Yeah, the Taman Aman, right next to Sri Aman. Dayana loves the outdoor 'gym' (which is actually a few exercise machines that seem to be for old people) there. That Saturday, when trying to stretch our leg muscles in this 4-people machine (I guess it's called a machine), an old man decided to join us on this 4-people machine...
Me: Eh, how do you work this thing? How come cannot move?
Old man: You do it like this. *demonstrates by pushing his legs forward on the bar* And remember to push your thighs down for support.
Me: Oh.. haha. Thank you uncle. (amidst Dayana and Laila's laughs)
Old man: Where do you all study?
Me & Dayana: US
Laila: UK
Old man: (starts commenting about how we're such different people but seem to be good friends) Girl, you must always be good at reading people. It is important to know the character of a person just by looking at them.
Laila: Uncle, can you read us?
Old man: Of course. (points to Laila) You ni, selalu ketawa. Happy and smiling always. Kalau ada problem pun ketawa and senyum je. Sampai orang lain pun don't know that you have a problem. (points to Dayana) You ah, very secretive. Always start telling something, tapi bagitahu half je. Never tell the whole story.
(points to me) You always follow. Ikut je apa orang lain buat. Diorang nak buat apa, kalau it is not negative or jahat, you buat jugak. (I hate that other people can see that about me.. but I know it's true.)
Us: Uncle!!! How did you know all that!!!
Old man: Ah, when you're as old as me. You can read people just by looking at them..

The conversation really wasn't as short as that though. It was more like an hour conversation of how important it is to be able to read people, jaga your parents, not be sombong after studying overseas, importance of finding the right man for you, how men are destructive.... Our stomachs were rumbling by the time he stopped talking. But it was hmm... an interesting encounter!
